One Year A Tripawd!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

It’s a special one around here because it’s my ampuversary! I had surgery one year ago to become a tri-pawsome tripawd! It was hard at first and I didn’t like my cone, but it didn’t take long for me to start feeling so much better without that painful injured leg hanging around.

Since then I’ve been thriving! I play often with my neighborhood friends, catch a ball like a star outfielder, and patrol my neighborhood rain or shine.

I love the cold weather, especially the snow. Mom throws shovelfuls in the air and I jump really high to snatch the flakes in my mouth. It’s my favorite game! Even in the bitter cold, Mom has a hard time convincing me to come inside.

When it’s super cold, she makes me wear a coat. I hate the coat. I’ll let her put it on me, but I pout and try to shake it off. I guess if it means I can go on our walks, I’ll have to put up with it.

I had a great Christmas with lots of treats and presents that I promptly destroyed. I’m still working on that. I just get so excited that I have to chew, chew, chew! I’m a good boy though – I never chew things that aren’t mine.

I’ll leave this blog on some great news. My sweet little friend Eddie finally found his furever home! I’m so happy for him! He has a sister and a big yard to play in, and he can finally walk on a leash without being afraid. I’m so happy I could help him on his journey. 🐾

Summer Synopsis

Life has been so busy – it’s hard to keep up with writing about my adventures!

I had such a fun summer going to new places and meeting new people, including my Gramma! She came for a visit and we were best friends right away. She bought me a hammock bed for my yard – I love it! (and her too!)

We drove a long way north to visit family on a farm. I’d never been in the truck so long before, but Mom said I did great. Here I am making sure Dad’s being a good driver.

I had a great time running through the long grass and chasing chickens, but I decided I don’t care for horses – they’re just so dang big! Why are they so big?

Speaking of big, we stopped at Lake Superior on the way home. Wow! It was a little scary when the waves came in. I think you can tell by my expression what I ultimately thought of that place.

My pawrents took me out to dinner on their anniversary! Being at a restaurant was pretty fun, but a little overwhelming when new dogs arrived. I’ll work on being more calm – it was just so exciting! I had an awesome marrow bone and a great dinner of chicken and vegetables.

Well, those are the highlights of my summer. I also had lots of foster friends come and go – it’s never dull around here. Several have since found their furever homes, which is really exciting – I hope they get to go on adventures like mine with their new families.

There’s more to share – see you next time!
