Summer Synopsis

Life has been so busy – it’s hard to keep up with writing about my adventures!

I had such a fun summer going to new places and meeting new people, including my Gramma! She came for a visit and we were best friends right away. She bought me a hammock bed for my yard – I love it! (and her too!)

We drove a long way north to visit family on a farm. I’d never been in the truck so long before, but Mom said I did great. Here I am making sure Dad’s being a good driver.

I had a great time running through the long grass and chasing chickens, but I decided I don’t care for horses – they’re just so dang big! Why are they so big?

Speaking of big, we stopped at Lake Superior on the way home. Wow! It was a little scary when the waves came in. I think you can tell by my expression what I ultimately thought of that place.

My pawrents took me out to dinner on their anniversary! Being at a restaurant was pretty fun, but a little overwhelming when new dogs arrived. I’ll work on being more calm – it was just so exciting! I had an awesome marrow bone and a great dinner of chicken and vegetables.

Well, those are the highlights of my summer. I also had lots of foster friends come and go – it’s never dull around here. Several have since found their furever homes, which is really exciting – I hope they get to go on adventures like mine with their new families.

There’s more to share – see you next time!

  1. Bentley! It looks like you have a life of adventure, what a blast you had this year! I love Lake Superior. Maybe if you try getting your paws wet you might see how much fun it is to swim? You might just like it!

Your pawrents are so cool, it makes my heart hoppy that they foster dogs. So was that Three and Shaboozey that found homes? I have my paws crossed that they did.

Hope you have a super fun Pawliday season with your furmily!! Can’t wait to read about your winter adventures. See you in 2025.

  2. Thanks, Jerry, what a nice comment!! Yes, Boo and Three found homes, as did Vincent, Eddie, Namora & Dover! Three is struggling a bit with the kitties in his new home, though, so he might be coming back soon. 🙁 But he’ll find another, even better home – he’s a good boy!
